A steeplejack by trade, Patrick Morrin was Captain of the Glasgow Company in the Irish Volunteers and joined the Kimmage Garrison in Dublin in advance of the Easter Rising. He was posted to O’Connell Bridge and then Kelly’s Gun Shop on the corner of Bachelor’s Walk before returning to the GPO. Following the evacuation, he helped to bore through the walls of the buildings on Moore Street. He subsequently returned to Glasgow.
